“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to
have tried to succeed.”

Enrolling now!
At Apogee Henderson, we cultivate curious minds and capable young leaders.
An ownership-driven model that develops confident young leaders. Children are challenged academically, physically, and socially in a holistic environment that builds confidence, independence, and real-world capability.
We don’t just prepare children for the next grade —
we prepare them to be exceptional at life.
Rather than traditional grade levels, our campus is organized into learning communities:
EXPLORERS (ages 5–7)
TRAILBLAZERS (ages 8–9)
PIONEERS (ages 10–11)
These are some of our key beliefs about learning that shape our approach:

CHILDREN ARE CAPABLE OF CONSTRUCTING
THEIR OWN LEARNING
Children construct their own learning through active exploration, curiosity, and interaction with their environment. By engaging in hands-on experiences, questioning, and experimentation, they build their understanding of the world around them. Through play, discovery, and problem-solving, children develop critical thinking skills and form connections between new information and prior knowledge.

CHILDREN FORM AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR PLACE IN THE WORLD THROUGH THEIR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS
There is a strong focus on social collaboration and working in groups, where each child is an equal participant, having their thoughts and questions valued. The adult is not the giver of knowledge. Children search out knowledge through their own investigations.

CHILDREN ARE COMMUNICATORS
Communication is a dynamic process, serving as a pathway to discovery, a tool for inquiry, and an avenue for linguistic creativity. It involves playful exploration of sounds, rhythm, and rhyme, fostering delight in the act of conveying thoughts and ideas.

THE ADULT IS A MENTOR AND COACH
The role of adults is to observe children, listen to their questions and their stories, find what interests them, and provide them with opportunities to explore these interests further.

THE ENVIRONMENT IS THE THIRD TEACHER
The environment is recognized for its potential to inspire- a space filled with natural light, order and beauty. Open spaces, free from clutter, where every material is considered for its purpose, every corner is ever-evolving to encourage children to continuously delve deeper into their interests. The space encourages collaboration, communication and exploration. The space respects children as capable by providing them with authentic materials and tools. The space is cared for by the children and the adults.

CHILDREN ARE NATURAL INVESTIGATORS
They are encouraged to use language to investigate, explore and reflect on their experiences. They are listened to with respect, believing their questions and observations are an opportunity to learn and search together. It is a process- a continual process, a collaborative process. Rather than the child asking a question and the adult offering the answer, the search is undertaken together.
Open-ended and collaborative building projects, goal setting, imaginative play and time in nature are all part of our daily schedule. Emotional literacy is key focus of our Explorer room. We focus on social and emotional growth and wellness as a key foundation for developing self direction in their learning.
We lay the foundation for the joy of learning as we encourage our young leaders to tap into their unique skills and passions.
Our well-balanced educational experience ignites curiosity, creativity, and the ability to ask great questions.
At Apogee Henderson, our young leaders learn in multi-age collaborative pods. Our flexible approach challenges each young leader with their own differentiated learning plan and inspires them through real-world projects and experiences. We are conveniently located to serve families in the Henderson/Las Vegas area.
